Privacy Policy

PrepSheet is a tool for independent caterers to plan portions, food costs, and client quotes. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep it short because we collect little.

Who we are

PrepSheet ("we," "us") operates the website at prepsheetapp.com and the PrepSheet web app. You can reach us at support@prepsheetapp.com.

What we collect

• Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are handled and stored securely by our authentication provider; we never see your password in plain text.
• Your content. The menus, guest counts, prices, and settings you save in the app. This is data you create, stored so you can reopen it across devices.
• Basic technical data. Standard information your browser sends (such as device and browser type) and minimal data needed to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising trackers.

We do not currently process payments, so we do not collect or store any card or payment information.

How we use it

• To provide the app: create your account, log you in, and save and sync your menus.
• To send essential account emails, such as confirming your email address and resetting your password.
• To keep the service secure and working, and to fix problems.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing emails without your consent.

Service providers

We rely on a few trusted companies to run PrepSheet. They process data only to provide their service to us:

• Supabase — secure storage of your account and saved menus, and authentication.
• Netlify — hosting of the website and app.
• Resend — delivery of account emails (confirmation, password reset).
• Cloudflare — domain and network services.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your current working menu on your device. These are essential to how the app functions. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

Keeping and deleting your data

You can delete any saved menu inside the app at any time. If you'd like your entire account and all associated data deleted, email support@prepsheetapp.com and we will remove it.

Security

Your data is protected by access rules so that you can only see your own menus, and information is encrypted in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

PrepSheet is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated in the app or by email.
